I've been following midwest mock for the past couple of years and I've noticed these individuals take home quite a few awards. Does anyone know about these individuals?

Mac Newton
Abel Belay
Max Popkin
Cameron Wall
Parker Luchenbill

Mac Newton is at Mizzou, was part of that group that had a pretty good run last season. They have a couple of names that seem to be returning strong performers.

I believe Max is at WashU. Parker is at Northwood and is phenomenal.

Popkin is at Macalester, not WashU. Belay is at Minnesota and has won both attorney and witness awards this year. Newton I've seen before and he is excellent. The entire Mizzou program is really strong -- their B team was one point away from nationals last year, and they've put together impressive results in invites so far this year. If you're talking about the top competitors in the midwest, I think you also have to mention Ruby Scanlon from NU, who has a whole bunch of impressive awards. I'd also throw out Alex Nelson and Austin Ramot from Cornell College and Claire Bullington from Wheaton.

I met Cameron Wall last year before he graduated, he was an outstanding competitor. Pretty sure I saw him win double sided witness/attorney awards, so he was a double threat for sure. Abel has consistently won attorney wards throughout, as I’m sure I’ve heard Mac Newton and Parker Luchenbill’s names called out for awards at tournaments before. I know Max Popkin, Cameron Wall, and Mac Newton were all at Cedar Rapids ORCS last year, they all won awards there.
