With the official start to the mock trial season almost here, we thought there would be no better time than to officially announce this year's newest tournament - The Gauntlet. This competition is a first of its kind, one on one, mock trial competition.

And this time, it's all about the witnesses.

For a long time now, our community has been waiting for a chance to highlight the talent, skills, and dedication of exceptional witnesses. The Gauntlet is a showcase of the 16 greatest witnesses in the country competing for a chance at being crowned the greatest in the world.

More information, including location, selection committee members, and tournament details will be released in the coming months, but for now, we're thrilled to just finally bring this tournament to life! The Gauntlet comes to a courtroom near you in Summer 2024. Are you ready to run it?

To the wider AMTA community:

We are still on the lookout for volunteers interested in being a part of The Gauntlet's inaugural run. Roles include (but are not limited to) case writing, tournament administration, and serving on the selection committee tasked with determining our 16 witness competitors.
