2024 Fantasy Mock Trial ORCS Edition

Welcome to Fantasy Mock Trial!

As usual, we thought it might be fun to get people involved in predicting ORCS outcomes with a bit of a game.

Here are the rules:

• Select 8 teams from this list:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15NRQYWD0fbiMre_tzq51Le3ya6qV0JLvqZYR6jxMv8w/edit?usp=sharing
  
• You must choose one team from each ORCS
  
• You are limited to a budget of $850
  
• You may not select the same 8 teams as someone else, so pick your 8 fast before someone else gets them (Note: this does not bar you from picking the same team as someone else. You just can’t have the exact same list of 8 teams)
  
• Post your 8 team list here by March 7, 2024 (NEW THIS YEAR: You must include team numbers in your list)
  

After all ORCS are complete, we will score your teams as follows: 1 point per ballot won by a team on your list + 2 points per NCT bid earned + 1 point per honorable mention + 1 point per SPAMTA

Tiebreakers will be:

• Dollar amount left over
  
• Time submitted
  

Notes:

• We will run another round for NCT. There will be advantages for keeping teams from your ORCS roster, so keep that in mind when you create your team.
  
• You may notice in pricing that the A teams always have the best records from regionals (even when a lower team in fact earned the best record). We have adopted the AMTA tradition of attributing the highest record to the A team, the second highest record to the B team and so on.
