Devil's Advocates Results

I'm very pleased to announce the results from the preliminary rounds of Devil's Advocates. The following teams advanced to the final four:

1) Emory (4 wins, 8.5 ballots, +44pd)
2) Tufts (3 wins, 8 ballots, +31pd)
3) Cornell College (3 wins, 6.5 ballots, 0pd)
4) Princeton (2 wins, 7.5 ballots, +12pd)

As we had hoped for (and as the scores indicate), the competition had incredible parity. Every round mattered. Our 9th place team won one more ballot than our 6th place team. Emory is no joke. Tufts didn't really go anywhere. Lookout for Cornell College next year (and note that their whole roster won awards). Princeton looked like they were going to win outright all weekend. I want to give a special shoutout to Illinois, our 5th place team led by the great Aarushi Raizada, who jumped in just a week before the comp to fill in for a team that had to drop. In the final round, they fought Emory to a 1-1-1 and lost only on point differential.

So, we did awards a bit differently to try to mix things up. These are our award winners:
